Where are we taking it?

Finn and I started the podcast Barstool Rockers over a year ago.  It was going along great but it wore on us. Getting a podcast off the ground takes a LOT of work and when you don't have backing, it's hard to stay motivated.  PLUS, I was here, Finn was elsewhere so it made for a challenge.  Combine that with both of us having fairly active schedules away from work and it was inevitable that we'd have an uphill battle.

A few weeks ago, I got the word that Finn would be rejoining us.  A couple weeks ago, he and I talked for the first time about the possibility of doing the podcast again.  Then last week, when the news broke about AC/DC and the Vancouver sightings, it just seemed like the time was right.

I know the saying "The rules have changed" gets tossed around a lot but in this case, I think it's applicable.  We're going to go about it a little different this time.  We're going to try and do episodes only when there's news to warrant it OR when we feel like hitting it, not because it's Sunday and we've defined that as production and release day.

Understand, Finn and I can go for hours on any one given topic that we both feel an investment in.  So when it comes time for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to announce the next round of inductees, plan on a somewhat colorful episode.

There are some other conversations going about it behind the scenes and, while I would love each and every one of them to come to fruition, I'm not holding my breath on any of them.  I'd love it if we could achieve a decent subscriber base and could make it worth doing for some time to come.  Having iHeart behind us certainly makes that more plausible 'cuz, we're getting paid to yack back & forth about a topic we're BOTH passionate about, and do it on the clock.

So, if you haven't done so yet, give us a listen.  The website is barstoolrockers.com.  That website was in mothballs as of last Monday so there's still a little rebuilding going on.  You can subscribe to us on any one of the major podcasting services including iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube, and soon I'm told on the iHeart Radio app.  If there's somewhere you think we should be and aren't, just drop me an email and I'll see what can be done.
