It was one of the greatest letdowns of my lifetime. I had waited patiently for months for this performance on the Grammy awards. I knew that on this night, Queens of the Stone Age would have that moment of transcendence that I'd been waiting to witness. I watched act after boring act and even a giant gay wedding that took way too much time for an awards show of this kind just to see this performance that featured Josh Homme, Trent Reznor, Lindsey Buckingham and Dave Grohl. It was going AMAZING and then right at the most crucial moment in the song where an orgasm of rock and roll delight was upon us, the credits started rolling and an announcer started TALKING OVER THE PERFORMANCE!!! I screamed at the TV like someone whose team just lost the Super Bowl. Thankfully, someone knew to roll tape during the rehearsal. It was still one of the most amazing moments in rock history in spite of the Hip Hop elite and the Grammy awards attempts to shut it down.
