The National Will Play 'High Violet' In Full During Homecoming Festival

On Wednesday (November 20), The National officially announced their second annual Homecoming Festival. The two-day event is set to take place in the band's hometown of Cincinnati next May and includes two unique sets from the indie rockers, including a performance of High Violet in its entirety to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It also boasts some other impressive names, including Patti Smith and Her Band, Sylvan Esso, Of Monsters and Men, Local Natives, and Japanese Breakfast.

“It’s great to invite our friends and fans to our hometown – the place where we all began our lives as listeners and musicians,” The National drummer Bryan Devendorf said in a statement. “Putting on this intimate event on the banks of the Ohio River is meaningful to us and our families. We are so very grateful.”

Though The National are celebrating the 10th anniversary of High Violet, they're bound to play material off their most recent albumI Am Easy To Find, too. The Homecoming Festival is slated to take place May 8-9, 2020 in Smale Park on Cincinnati's waterfront. Tickets go on sale Friday (November 22) at 10am EST.
