The Impossible Happened

Hear ye! Year ye!  It actually happened!  The arrogant one who wishes to own everything and tell us all how much he knows, reunited on stage with a former bandmate.  And it happened right next door in St. Paul.  Gene Simmons & Ace Frehley, along with Simmons' backing band, performed "Parasite," "Cold Gin" and "Shock Me."  They also did "Rock & Roll All Nite"   It was their first appearance together since KISS was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

They were at St. Paul's CHS Field for a hurricane relief benefit that Simmons helped organize for the Minnesota based charity Matter.ngo.  The event was intended to be a benefit focused on feeding and aiding children worldwide but after Hurricane Harvey struck Texas, the theme turned to assistance for Houston and the surrounding area.

“Before you were born, 1973, this guy and I, the two of us, put together the band.”  “He still looks great, doesn’t he?"

Despite years of jabbing back and forth, the duo hooked up recently and co-wrote a pair of songs for an upcoming Ace Frehley album.  Does this mean a reunion of the original band?  Don't hold your breath.  Peter Criss has already retired from performing and Paul Stanley (back in February) said “I have no thoughts of revisiting the past. I am happy to do whatever i can for anyone who has helped put me where I am, but that doesn’t include getting hitched again to somebody I unhitched from.”

Also on the bill were Don Felder & Cheap Trick.
